Description:
Looming tall, it is a landmark to this Thai Buddhist temple and with the longest reclining Buddha statue in the world. The 180-foot gold-plated statue is housed in the main shrine, a simple elongated rectangular building with a high-pitched roof. On display are the colourful, distinct Thai architectural motifs with sculptured creature-like ornaments and floral carvings painted in gold and rainbow colours. Images of the Buddha fill the interior.
