Description:
The most famous of all the cannons guarding the ramparts of Francis Light's descent It is an early 17th-century property of the Dutch East India Company whose inscribed corporate seal is still visible. It was given to the Sultan of Johor, then an ally of the Dutch, but captured by Achenese invaders.
